Urgent Care Centres

Urgent Care Centres (UCCs) can provide diagnosis and treatment for most injuries and illnesses through doctors trained in emergency medicine and other health care professionals like nurses. Urgent Care Centres provide care for minor or uncomplicated conditions in less urgent situations.

Some examples of what Urgent Care Centres treat and services they provide are:

  • Simple fractures, sprains, sports injuries
  • Cuts that may need stitches
  • Minor burns
  • Minor abdominal pain (nausea, vomiting, flu)
  • Ear, nose and throat problems
  • Coughs and colds
  • Eye problems
  • X-rays
  • Laboratory tests

There are six UCCs in the HNHB LHIN:
