Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant Local Health Integration Network
Board of Directors
Each LHIN is governed by a nine member Board of Directors appointed by the province from among members of the local community. The board makes decisions about health services based on the values and preferences of communities, a sound understanding of the issues and available resources. They make these decisions at open board meetings held monthly (see side menu for more information about board meetings). The day-to-day running of the LHIN is managed by the LHIN CEO, who reports directly to the board.
Our Vision
A health care system that helps keep people healthy, gets them good care when they are sick, and will be there for our children and grandchildren.
Our Mandate
To plan, fund and integrate the local health system to provide appropriate, coordinated effective and efficient health services in Brant, Burlington, Haldimand, Hamilton, Niagara and Norfolk.
Our Mission
To ensure availability of and access to linked services in order to improve the health of the population and the continuity of health care.
Our Values
Respect * Integrity * Accountability.
We work from the approach of being a catalyst for change; with a viewpoint based on the individual, and their caregivers, who need to access local health services. To achieve this we are committed to:
Transparency * Collaboration * Innovation * Real conversation.
